Delete your Seafarr account and data

This page explains how to delete your Seafarr account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to the Seafarr mobile app operated by Depzilla Corp..

How to request deletion

You can request deletion in either of these ways:

1. In the app

  1. Open Seafarr and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

2. By email (no app needed) Send a deletion request from your registered email address to support@depzilla.com (or jade.gadiane@depzilla.com) with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before we proceed.

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is completed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal data in your account, including:

  • Your profile and identity details (name, contact details, date of birth, nationality, etc.);
  • Uploaded documents and credential images (passport, Seaman's Book, certificates, government IDs);
  • Sensitive data you provided (medical/health fields, government identifiers);
  • Sea service and education history;
  • Family members, emergency contacts, and any shared location data;
  • Consent records, notifications, ratings, and account/authentication data.

What may be retained, and why

Some data may be retained for a limited period after your request where the law allows or requires it, including:

  • Records we must keep under the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 and applicable maritime/employment law during an active engagement;
  • Records needed for legal compliance, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our Terms.

Retained data is kept only as long as necessary for those purposes and is then deleted or anonymized.

Data already shared with third parties: If you previously chose to share your profile or documents with a manning agency or shipping principal, that third party holds its own copy under its own privacy notice. Deleting your Seafarr account does not delete copies already held by those third parties — please contact them directly.

Payments: Subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — manage that in your store account settings.

Timing

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to the legal retention periods above. We will confirm when your request has been completed.
