About Seafarr
What is Seafarr?
Seafarr is a free mobile app for seafarers that keeps your documents, sea service and career in one place. It shows which documents your rank requires and when each one expires, lets you apply to manning agencies and track every application, and maps your path to the next rank.
Is Seafarr available on Android and iPhone?
Yes. Seafarr is free on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone. Download it from seafarr.net/download.
Who makes Seafarr?
Seafarr is built by Depzilla Corp., a maritime technology company in Cebu, Philippines. It is made for the seafarer, not for the agency: your profile, documents and sea service stay yours when you change agencies.
Is Seafarr a manning agency?
No. Seafarr does not hire or deploy crew. It is your own app for staying ready and getting seen: you can apply to agencies on Seafarr, scan an agency's QR code at a walk-in desk, or send your profile by email to any agency, even one that is not on Seafarr.
Who is Seafarr for?
Seafarers of every rank — officers and ratings, deck and engine. It is built around the documents Filipino seafarers carry, including STCW certificates, MARINA and PRC licences, the seaman's book, passport and medical certificate, plus SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and TIN numbers.
How much does Seafarr cost?
Seafarr Basic is free forever. Seafarr Pro costs ₱299 a month and every new account gets 30 days of Pro free with no card. Inviting a crewmate who joins gives you both 30 days of Pro.
How does Seafarr help me get my next rank?
Your sea service log and rank history are free. With Seafarr Pro, Career Compass rolls your sea time, certificates, training, vessel experience and endorsements into one score toward your next rank and lists every requirement left, and Career Coach turns that into a personal roadmap with the certificates and training to do next.
Does Seafarr tell me when my documents expire?
Yes. Every document in the app turns orange 90 days before it expires and red at 14 days, and Document Watch on the Home screen counts what is valid, missing or not yet uploaded.
Using the app
Is Seafarr free?
Yes. Basic is free forever with no card needed: your documents, readiness, sea service, job board, agency inbox, community and more. Every new account also gets 30 days of Seafarr Pro free.
Can agencies see my data?
Only what you agree to share. You choose your permissions when you sign up and can change them any time in Privacy Setting. Your medical background is visible to you alone.
What happens while I am deployed?
Seafarr knows when you are under contract. Your profile, consents and account are protected so nothing changes behind your back, and you can still renew documents that are about to expire. Everything opens again at sign-off, as MLC 2006 sets out.
What if something happens on board?
Report it in the app under My Welfare: an injury, unsafe conditions, harassment, a wage problem. It goes straight to your agency's welfare officer, is never closed automatically, and you can follow every reply until it is resolved.
My agency already has my records. Do I start from zero?
No. If your agency prepared a profile for you, Seafarr finds it when you sign up and brings your records and documents in with one tap.
How do I delete my account?
Request it in the app under Privacy Setting, or on our delete-account page. We verify the request, then delete your data within 30 days.
Seafarr Pro
How do I pay?
Through Google Play or the App Store, from inside the app: open the Profile tab and tap Upgrade to PRO.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to my data if I go back to Basic?
Your documents, sea service and profile stay in your account. Only the Pro features switch off.
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. Your first 30 days of Pro need no card. When the trial ends you go back to Basic and nothing is charged.
